Umm Salama reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, “I am a human being and you bring your disputes to me. It may be that one of you is more eloquent in stating his case than another and so I give judgement in his favour according to what I hear. If I award him judgement at the expense of the right of his brother, I am cutting out a piece of the Fire for him.” [Agreed upon]
