Invoking Salawat upon the Prophet (salla Allah ‘alayhi wa sallam) frees one from hypocrisy and the Hellfire
Anas (Allah be pleased with him) related that the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace) said: “Whosoever sends one prayer upon me, Allah will send ten prayers upon him; whosoever sends ten prayers upon me, Allah will send one hundred prayers upon him; and whosoever sends one hundred prayers upon me, Allah will write between his eyes ‘Free from hypocrisy and free from the Hellfire,’ and Allah will place him among the martyrs on the Day of Resurrection.”
