Jabir reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, “Beware of injustice. Injustice will be darkness on the Day of Rising. Beware of avarice. Avarice destroyed those before you and prompted them to shed each other’s blood and to make lawful what Allah had made unlawful for them.” [Muslim]
