Abu ‘Abdullah (or it is said Abu ‘Abdu’r-Rahman) Thawban, the client of the Messenger of Allah, said, “I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say, ‘You must do a lot of prostration. For you do not do a single prostration to Allah without Allah raising you up a degree by it and shedding a wrong action from you.'” [Muslim]
